Winter Water Mountain - Tote

The mountain range in Hazelton, BC is called Stekyoden (Roche DeBoule) and it's grand view can be seen from my home, intimately. For those of us who live beside mountains, we know how majestic and ever-changing they can be. Although they are solid, stoic sentinels in our landscapes, the seasons keep them changing before our very eyes.

Winter views of the mountain are my favourite. The snow dusts every single ridge and line, making a visual map of texture and delight throughout the day and late into the evening. Somehow the frozen mountain helps us hunker down through the winter months and maintain some sort of strength and patience until the spring thaw reaches us again, like a good friend who never leaves your side.
