It’s all about the salmon migration - it’s a miracle that any salmon make it home to spawn.

Under normal conditions only half the adult salmon will make it home to their creek with rising creek temperatures and lower water levels returns are diminishing hugely. Of 3000 salmon eggs, only 300 will survive to become fry (baby salmon) of those only 50 become smolts (teenagers) of those, only four will return from the ocean and of those, only one pair of salmon will spawn. 

Their journey's are phenomenal, between predators, environment and man, the fact that they survive to breed makes them true warriors.
